Our company was founded in an era of optimism, forward thinking, and national pride. Thirty years later, these three values continue to influence the growth and activities of the National Speakers Bureau.

From our start in 1973, we have grown and evolved into a Communications Group with three strong divisions, offices in Vancouver and Toronto, and affiliates in many parts of the world. But our goal remains the same: to help Canadians be heard, whether they are speakers, authors, or representatives of large organizations.

Today, National Speakers Bureau is meeting and exceeding the demand for speakers who inspire, inform and engage everyone in their audiences. Not only does the NSB provide the finest services, we also offer the most extensive assortment of speakers in the country. When the Bureau was first created, there were 13 speakers listed in the directory. Now the NSB is the sole agent for over 100 speakers, and works with over thousands of others.

A look through the National Speakers Bureau's directory reads as a "Who's Who", featuring many of the leading speakers, experts, entertainers and opinion-makers in Canada and around the world. The roster includes: Astronaut Marc Garneau, Talk show legend Vicki Gabereau, CBC Commentator Rex Murphy, Greenpeace Founder Patrick Moore, Lt. General Roméo Dallaire, and Olympian Mark Tewksbury to name a few.

We are an active member of many organizations, including: Meeting Professionals International (MPI Toronto and Vancouver chapters), Canadian Society of Association Executives (CSAE), Professional Convention Management Association PCMA (Toronto Chapter) and as Global Speakers Agency with the International Association of Speaker's Bureaus (IASB) and convention bureaus across the country.

Owned and operated by Perry Goldsmith, the parent company Contemporary Group of Communications Companies is now the largest communications company of its type in Canada, combining a speakers bureau, public relations firm and personal management agency.
