Edward Greenspon
Editor-in-Chief of The Globe and Mail
Edward Greenspon is an award-winning author, columnist and editor-in-chief of
The Globe and Mail. His political, business and economic acumen offer a unique perspective on Canadian public policy.
Greenspon is best known for his political coverage, first as the
Globe and Mail's Ottawa bureau chief and then as a columnist and the paper's political editor. His knowledge of the Canadian political scene is unmatched. His background in business and economics reporting gives his work the important context often lacking in the media.
In between reporting assignments, he has also served as a senior manager of
The Globe and Mail, overseeing the newspaper's front page and its Report on Business. He was also in charge of a newsroom of 300 people at a critical stage in the newspaper war, and managed the inaugural editorial strategy of globeandmail.com, serving as the site's first editor.
Greenspon can also be seen on CTV's
Question Period and
Canada AM, CBC's
Sunday Report and
Morningside, TVO's
Studio Two, and on
ROB-TV. His most recent book is,
Searching for Certainty: Understanding the New Canadian Mindset.
