Yesterday’s ancient campfires are today’s digital news feeds. From a 10-second snap to a 140-character tweet, social media has disrupted the way we tell stories. Today’s digital marketplace is noisier than ever and with everyone competing to share their story, storytelling has empowered some to rise with unheard and creative narratives while leaving traditional marketers that still treat social media as digital billboards in the dust. In this session, Swish will teach you how to cultivate your personal brand which you have whether you want it or not. By sharing the do’s and don’ts behind engaging and effective social storytelling on various platforms including his favourite platform LinkedIn, Swish will help you build an entrepreneurial mindset, while perfecting social storytelling and selling yourself.

Leaders of Tomorrow

Summary Profile

Born in Singapore, Swish grew up with a keen interest in entrepreneurship. He has built businesses since he was 7. Swish has started six high impact ventures in four industries and has been recognized for curating the world’s first youth social capital fund, an online incubator for entrepreneurs based in rural areas, and a mobile application that connects households, events, stores, and restaurants with leftover and excess food with people in need of affordable and accessible food options.

He has been quoted and published in over fifty national and international media outlets including Forbes, Inc. Magazine, Entrepreneur, and Mashable for his entrepreneurial and philanthropic advocacy. Swish has also been recognized as “one of the world’s most accomplished teenagers” by Future Sharks, “one of ten Gen Z experts to follow” by Forbes and the “Face and Future of Canadian Entrepreneurship” by UPS Canada.

Swish has notably spoken at the 71st Session of the United Nations, TEDxUofT, World Business Dialogue, and American Express. He has collectively represented over 600,000 students and has reached over 20,000 children worldwide. Swish is also a former debater who represented Canada twice at the World Schools Debating Championships leading them to the Grand Final in 2015.

Swish grew up with a speech impediment and though he was never bullied, he was not ignorant to the stigma faced by individuals who suffer from mental, verbal, and physical disabilities. This was a contributing factor in shaping his continued belief that the most successful businesses can be built on a foundation that provides a positive social impact to others.

Swish is a firm believer that today’s youth are the leaders of tomorrow, but they don’t need to wait till tomorrow to lead.
