Trevor Boris has come a long way from the farm he grew up on near Winnipeg, Manitoba. A two-time Canadian Comedy Award Nominee, and former Canadian College Comedian of the year,
Trevor has starred in numerous standup specials including One Night Standup on LOGO (USA), and Comedy NOW on CTV. Trevor has also appeared on CONAN (TBS), on season 5 of NBC’s Last Comic Standing, made numerous appearances at the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival, and has recently released his first major label standup DVD for Warner Music entitled ‘Trevor Boris: Over Easy’. Trevor is however most recognized as the star and producer of MuchMusic’s hit show Video on Trial, appearing in over 100 episodes over 8 seasons.
In recent years, Trevor has also spent a lot of time behind the camera as a television producer, writer, and director. Trevor has written the Juno Awards (for Host Russell Peters), the Canada Walk of Fame Awards (for Host Howie Mandel), and for 7 consecutive years was a writer on the MuchMusic Video Awards, also appearing on the show in sketches alongside Mike Myers, the New Kids on the Block, Mel C of the Spice Girls, and the Jonas Brothers.
After spending two years as a producer of Video on Trial and numerous specials at MuchMusic, Trevor moved on to a producer role on Canada’s Got Talent, and now Big Brother Canada, entering its third season, where he is the Challenge Producer, and Episodic Producer and creator of the hit Big Brother Side Show (after show).
On top of all this, Trevor has always had a strong presence on the college and university market speaking about sexuality. As an openly gay comedian who has faced much adversity in his personal life, which he’s turned into opportunities in his professional life, Trevor offers a very unique and entertaining perspective on the topic, and is a crowd favourite everywhere he goes.
