You can catch Ken Reid alongside Evanka weeknights on the Prime Time Edition of Connected of Sportsnet Central. Ken is also a co-host of Canada’s most listened to sports talk radio presentation, Prime Time Sports with Bob McCown on Sportsnet 590 The FAN.

Ken got his first big break doing play-by-play commentary for the junior A team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia– as a volunteer. The station decided to hire him and pay him to do a weekly news program. This was followed by stops in Calgary, Ottawa, Edmonton and finally Toronto, where he worked with CP24, TSN and the NHL Network, before landing at Sportsnet in 2011. He has been adding his unique brand of humour and style to the nightly sports news and updates since joining the network.
A born sports fanatic, Reid’s career highlights include covering the Edmonton Oilers Stanley Cup run in 2006, various Grey Cups, London 2012 Olympic Games and Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans. Ken has covered just about everything during his almost 20 years in television, from the Olympics to the Stanley Cup Finals, Grey Cups and the Super Bowl.
A proud native of Pictou, Nova Scotia, Ken grew up admiring broadcasters just as much as the players. Personalities like Bob Cole and Danny Gallivan helped spur his interest in pursuing a career in sports media. In 2014, Reid wrote his first book, a national bestseller, “Hockey Card Stories: True Tales from Your Favourite Players”, a compilation of stories from the game’s greatest stars. He has also released “One Night Only”, “Denis Maruk: The Unforgettable story of Hockey’s Forgotten 60-Goal Man” and “Hockey Card Stories 2”. He currently volunteers his time with the Michael Garron Hospital in Toronto and the Danny Gallivan Cystic Fibrosis Golf tournament in Halifax.
