Kim Katrin | Co-Founder of The People Project & Activist for Justice and Inclusion

A passionate speaker, Kim is dedicated to inclusivity and invested in arousing a sense of curiosity and empathy in her audience. Kim’s presentations are anchored in a modern version of The Golden Rule. Rather than assuming the way you want to be treated is the standard for all, Kim encourages audiences to treat people the way they want to be treated, which means we have to ask and listen.  Using her own lived experience as a queer black woman, and pulling from her research and current events, Kim gives a solid foundation for understanding the experiences of others & acting in allyship. | view profile

Kristen Worley | Diversity Policy Development Adviser & Former High-Performance Cyclist

Kristen Worley is a former world-class cyclist and now an international inclusivity and diversity advisor. She is the first athlete to legally challenge the gender policies of the International Olympic Committee and related international sports bodies, which she successfully argued were designed to discriminate against trans & female athletes. As a result of her multiyear efforts, in 2017, the parties including the International Olympic Committee agreed “to promote inclusive sporting environments” in international sport. Her presentations provoke more than thought and discussion, they provide real frameworks to implement change to support building diverse and inclusive workplaces. | view profile

Brian Burke | Hockey Executive, Analyst & Advocate for LGBTQ Inclusion in Sport

Described as one of hockey’s most experienced and knowledgeable executives, Brian Burke has led a distinguished and varied career as an ice hockey executive. Beyond his experience and expertise in business management, growth, and leadership, Brian is dedicated to creating LGTBQ inclusion in sport. In honour of his late son, who came out as gay a few years before passing away in a car accident, Burke continues his journey as an ally and was named Calgary Gay Pride marshal in 2015. Brian shows audiences that there is a difference between being tolerant and being an active advocate. He continues to work towards ridding the hockey world of racial and homophobic language by educating others with his own  personal story and insights on what it means to be an ally. | view profile

Inspiring Real Change

A lack of acceptance and inclusivity often leads to a breakdown in our teams and communities. Hosting an LGBTQ speaker will inspire positive change and the creation of inclusive spaces. Consider hiring a speaker for an event around:

  • Pride
  • International Transgender Day of Visibility
  • Lesbian Visibility Day
  • International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia
  • Bisexual Awareness Week
    …and more.

Our experienced roster of LGBT speakers are available to help you create the awareness and inspiration for a better, more diverse and inclusive world.
